Kyoto - Some Good News

SMH - Speaking on the opening day, the United States senior climate negotiator, Harlan Watson, said the US respected Australia's ratification of the Kyoto Protocol, which recognises binding targets on developed countries, but made it clear the Bush Administration would not follow Kevin Rudd's lead. Despite the split between Mr Bush and Australia's Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, over Kyoto, Dr Watson said the Administration would continue to work closely with Australia.

No word on China ratifying Kyoto, since they're are now the biggest emitter, also no word on them embracing the examples of Democracy and Human Rights set by the west for so many decades either.
