Muslims going about their business, as usual

AsiaNews - Some 20 Hindu families from the villages of Kalibari, Kajir Hat and Keramotia, in the sub-district of Sonagaji, southern Bangladesh, have become the victims of extortions and blackmail by members of the local Muslim majority, this according to representatives of the local Hindu minority. They complain that young Hindu women are being abducted to extort money from their families. ......When other Hindus resisted attempts to extort money, the gang began persecuting Hindu families in the area’s villages.

Compass Direct - With 12 Christians, including three pastors, confirmed killed in rioting ignited by an Islamic sect opposed to Western education, the Christian community in northern Nigeria’s Borno state is still counting its losses. The rioting instigated by an Islamic extremist sect known as Boko Haram, which initially attacked police and government bases, left hundreds of people dead and large property losses.

Compass Direct - In a bizarre show of Turkish nationalism, a young Muslim here took a Christian Turk at knife point, draped his head with the national flag and threatened to slit the throat of the “missionary dog” in broad daylight earlier this week. Yasin Karasu, 24, held Ismail Aydýn, 35, hostage for less than half an hour on Monday (Aug. 3) in a busy district on the Asian side of Istanbul in front of passersby and police who promptly came to the scene.

Compass Direct - At the urging of local Muslim leaders, police in western Bangladesh have tortured a pastor and two other Christians for legally proclaiming Christ. Habibur Rahman, 45, pastor of Boalia Spiritual Church (Boalia Ruhani Jamat) in Boalia in Cuadanga district, 220 kilometers (136 miles) west of Dhaka, said he was about to meet with 11 others for a monthly meeting on evangelism at 8 p.m. on June 8 when local police stormed in and seized him and Zahid Hassan, 25, and a 40-year-old Christian identified only as Fazlur.

Khaleej Times - Defeated Iranian presidential candidate Mehdi Karroubi has alleged that several male and female protesters held behind bars have been savagely raped, according to a document obtained by AFP on Monday. “A number of detainees have said that some female detainees have been raped savagely. Young boys held in detention have also been savagely raped,” Karroubi said in a letter to powerful cleric Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.

Dawn - Troops shot dead four people on Monday as soldiers prevented fresh attempts by militants to infiltrate Indian-administered Kashmir from Pakistan, officials said. ‘Alert troops killed a militant infiltrator on Monday thus preventing another attempt by the militants to cross the LOC,’ Indian army spokesman J.S. Brar told AFP, referring to the Line of Control that splits Kashmir between India and Pakistan. In the southern district of Reasi Monday, security forces shot dead another three militants during a forest gunbattle, a police spokesman said.

Dawn - Almost 500 children were abducted from Britain and taken abroad last year, the Guardian newspaper said on Monday, highlighting Pakistan as a hotspot. An estimated 470 youngsters were abducted in 336 separate cases reported to authorities in 2008, a 20 per cent increase on 2005 figures, according to data obtained by the newspaper under freedom of information laws.

The blasts are the latest of several major attacks targeting Shi'ites since U.S. troops withdrew from urban centres in June, boosting doubts about whether Iraq's security forces, rebuilt from scratch after the 2003 U.S.-led invasion, can cope alone.

UPI - West Bank universities have become popular recruiting grounds for Palestinian terror organizations, a recent report by the Israel Security Agency said. Since the beginning of the year, Israeli security forces have captured a growing number of Palestinian students allegedly involved in plotting and planning terror attacks against Israel, including shooting and bomb attacks and the killing of an Israeli citizen, the report said.

News.com.au - A 41-YEAR-OLD Jordanian man was charged with premeditated murder after his raped teenage niece was shot dead on Tuesday to "cleanse" the family's honour, police said. "The man was arrested and charged after he shot the 16-year-old girl eight times in different parts of her body,'' in the Nasser area east of Amman, a police source said.

FOX News - Kuwaiti authorities announced Tuesday they have arrested an Al Qaeda-linked group that was planning to attack a key U.S. military base in the small oil-rich state. The Interior Ministry said in a brief statement that State Security detained a "terrorist network" of six Kuwaitis who gave "detailed confessions" about plans to bomb Camp Arifjan, the main U.S. base in the country, as well as the headquarters of the country's security agency, in addition to other facilities it did not name. The post below is about the growing muslim population in Europe. I suppose if Europeans are interested in what life will look like in a decade or two, look above.

As for the rest of us, I suggest we start clamping down on muslim immigration and getting rid of the problem ones that are here already, before the above comes to a street, town, city or state near you.
