Can You Feel His Pain?

This should get the lefties screaming:

Pension Pain for Habib

AUSTRALIAN terror suspect Mamdouh Habib might have to repay up to $10,000 in pension payments he received while living in terrorist camps overseas.

During his many trips to Pakistan and Afghanistan between 1999 and 2001, Mr Habib was drawing a disability support pension of about $470 a fortnight. He did not tell Centrelink that he was abroad for about 11 months in that time.
What? Tell someone? Are you kidding? That would infringe his civil liberties. And who says he can't go overseas for a bit of a jamboree with a few shady pals (I wonder what the merit badge was?). And let's not forget, there's no proof of his wrongdoing – none whatsoever! Then again, the left seem pretty confident that he copped such a cattle prod-style rogering that, rumour has it, he's now referred to as Mamdouh Kebab. So I guess others should be allowed to label him as an accomplice to mass-murdering swill (it's only fair, after all).
Those on taxpayer-funded support payments must tell the Government if theyleave the country and the disability support pension is only available overseas for a maximum of 13 weeks.
Gee, gosh - wonder why he didn't tell? And only 13 weeks? What an outrage! How's a boy supposed to keep his RPG launcher fed on that, hmmmmm?
Senior government sources said Mr Habib spent months in al-Qaida-linked terrorist camps in Pakistan and Afghanistan while drawing his pension for chronic depression.
Actually, not just them. About a gazillion witnesses seem to have been able to finger old Mamdouh as well, but heck, who's counting (or caring, if the Labour Party's focus in the AustralianParliament is anything to go by).
The Herald Sun revealed last week that both Mr Habib and Australian terror suspect David Hicks were at a high-level al-Qaida leadership training camp in Kabul just before September 11, 2001.
Torture! Torture! Torture! Sorry - just summing up the Australian left's current focus - never mind the appalling fact that the man is accused of basically planning to kill lots and lots of innocent people.
Government sources say Mr Habib had earlier trained with the al-Qaida offshoot, Lashkar e-Taiba, in neighbouring Pakistan.

In 1998 and early 1999 he spent four months overseas, was away for another month late in 1999 and into 2000, for a further three months later in 2000 and another three months from July 2001.

Lawyer Stephen Hopper said his client was pursuing a cleaning business opportunity in Pakistan when he was detained.
A cleaning business? Ohhhhh - so that's what they call it. Don't worry, Stephen. Your secret's safe with us. . .
