Hizbollah Worried

In an update to our earlier post Iran and Syria Worried; Discuss a United Front, it appears they are not the only ones fretting right now.
Hizbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah warned Saturday that popular agitation against Syria's grip on Lebanon after the killing of former Prime Minister Rafik al-Hariri could plunge the country back into civil war.

"God forbid, if the roof collapses, it collapses on all of us," Nasrallah told at least 100,000 Shi'ite Muslims gathered for Ashura, the most solemn event in their calendar.

Terrorist leader Nasrallah has good reason to be worried. His band of thugs affectionately known as Hizbollah are the only ones to retain the right to keep their weapons after the end of the civil war. Despite Reuters laughable description of them as a political party, Hizbollah has been intently engaged in advancing both Syrian and Iranian interests in Lebanon. The group also receives much support from both countries with respect to it's anti-Israeli terrorist activity.

With the emergence of a new democracy in the region plus pressure from the world community on Syria to leave Lebanon, Hizbollah would be like sitting ducks against an agitated Lebanese population that views them as tools of the Syrian oppressors. The US is already talking about placing more sanctions on Syria in an effort to force them to withdraw the 14,000 troops they currently have stationed in Lebanon in accordance with UN Resolution 1559.

If I were in Nasrallah's shoes I'd be looking over my shoulder.
