Yes!

They didn't get the breakthrough they were hoping for in Atlantic Canada but the CPC did manage to make inroads into both Quebec and Ontario. As of 11:15pm CST the official count sits at
  • CPC - 125
  • LIB - 102
  • BQ - 51
  • NDP - 29
  • IND - 1
These numbers are still fluctuating but I think there are a few noteworthy things here. The Conservatives are on the road to increase their seat totals to 125 from 99, an increase of 27.5% which is on top of the 37.5% increase they enjoyed in the election before that. The Liberals appear to be to settling on 102 down from the 135 they had prior to the election call which is a 23.3% drop with a 19.6% decrease in the election prior. The NDP appear to have made some rather large gains by leading in 29 ridings which, if translated into seats, would see an increase of 61.1% as they had 19 MP's in the House coming into this election. These gains seem to have been made at the expense of the Liberals. Perhaps Layton's strategy of telling Liberal voters to lend his party their votes appealed to some.
