Job ads at lowest level in 14 years

THE number of jobs advertised in major newspapers has fallen to its lowest level in more than 14 years, with back-to-back interest rate rises causing a decline in every state and territory, a survey shows.
Yes – yes, we did.

Of course, no one is talking about the abolition of Work Choices, preferring to point at interest rates. And maybe they’re right. But I don’t think so. . .

We predicted an employer reluctance to take on new employees once the legislation had been changed.

A rise in unemployment will come next. . .
