A snapshot of Britain thanks to years of leftism

The Independent - In a verdict that will have shocked ministers and energy companies the jury at Maidstone Crown Court cleared six Greenpeace activists of criminal damage. Jurors accepted defence arguments that the six had a "lawful excuse" to damage property at Kingsnorth power station in Kent to prevent even greater damage caused by climate change. ...... The not-guilty verdict, delivered after two days and greeted with cheers in the courtroom, raises the stakes for the most pressing issue on Britain's green agenda and could encourage further direct action. ...... Last year, three protesters managed to paint Gordon Brown's name on the plant's chimney. Their handi-work cost £35,000 to remove.
If you are the owner of that property, what do you do, you can't arm yourself to defend yourself and your property against these vermin. The judiciary that's supposed to be on your side is simply not, so when you're done choking and sputtering can you explain how you can fight back? Sure, you can appeal, but what if that comes back in favor of the vermin and the next appeal too? If pro-life advocates break down the doors and windows of an abortion clinic, to save the unborn from being killed, will the judiciary clear them? You know as as well as I do that that simply won't happen. This literally means that if you are on the left side of politics, you can do whatever you want as long as you can justify to some clown/s that you think your actions are to avoid further damage.
Daily Mail - Police have arrested a second youth in connection with a teenager stabbed to death outside a town centre nightclub. Oliver Kingonzila, 19, became the 26th youngster to die in attacks in London this year. The youth was knifed to death outside E Bar in the South End area of Croydon, south London, in the early hours of today.
They spent about 6 Billion on youth crime in the last 7 years. Recently they spent about 3 million to tackle knife crime. You have to wonder how many trillions they'll be prepared to spend before they acknowledge the obvious. None the less, given that the state is incapable of preventing such stabbings, killings and attacks upon the law-abiding, will such teenagers be allowed to carry a weapon to protect themselves? I think we all know the answer to that.
Daily Mail - It has been a crucial part of the British motorcycle test for generations ... the emergency stop on a quiet suburban street. ...... Anyone taking a motorbike test will soon be assessed on manoeuvres such as the emergency stop or avoiding an obstacle at EU-specified speeds of 30 and 50 kilometres per hour. British Ministers signed up to the new-style test without protest – apparently oblivious to the fact that 50kph is 31mph, 1mph above the speed limit for the kind of quiet streets where tests are usually taken. Now Britain is spending £71million building new off-road test centres, with mock streets, so that the EU examination can be held legally.
This is but one more example of EU regulations being forced upon its member countries, in the article, they ask the question - Is it time the Government ignored this EU ruling?. I can assure you if the Brits muster the will to ignore the EU, they can and will most probably be punished by the EU for doing that. The reality is that the Brits have to do as stipulated by unelected bureaucrats in Brussels and they have no recourse. It won't matter who they elect, if they want to remain part of the EU, then they'll just have to suck it up and choke it down.
Daily Mail - David Miliband was subjected to an astonishing four-letter tirade from his Russian counterpart at the height of the Georgia crisis. The Foreign Secretary received the undiplomatic tongue-lashing over the telephone after expressing the EU's anger with the Kremlin, it was revealed yesterday. At one point Sergei Lavrov, the colourful Russian foreign minister, became so incensed that he reportedly barked: 'Who the f*** are you to lecture me?' ...... Such was the repeated use of the F-word that it was difficult to draft a readable note of the exchange, according to one insider who has seen the transcript. A Whitehall source said: 'It was effing this and effing that.
Even on the global stage, they've been kicked down and humiliated. I'm sure he'd never have done that to an America, unless he didn't like his job or something. The point is that Ivan can tell the Brits and even the Europeans to eff off and they can't do anything even if they wanted to. You see they are crippled by the EU, if the rest of the EU tells a member country to 'stand down', then you have to. I read this morning that Russia is beginning to withdraw its troops from parts of Georgia. Apparently it's thanks to a deal brokered by France, but I think its because a 3rd American warship recently arrived in Georgia to deliver 'aid'.

Bit by bit, the British people have less and less rights and fewer and fewer avenues of recourse. In my opinion this sorry state of affairs is largely thanks to the cancer of leftism that infects British politicians, their elites and enough of the citizenry. Naturally they and the Europeans are of the opinion that the rest of us should become more like them. Thanks for thinking of us guys, it's really nice of you, most appreciated and all that but I think I'll pass. I sure hope enough of the British people will also choose to 'pass' at the next election.
